I’ve never been self-conscious about my teeth, but let’s be real—years of coffee, tea, and whatever else you drink take a toll. Keeping your teeth white isn’t just tricky; it feels almost impossible.
In Canada, professional whitening is ridiculously expensive for the average person (which is exactly why I never did it). Dropping $500+ just wasn’t an option.
So, I gave the traditional Crest White Strips a shot… and instantly regretted it. The pain was unbearable for days, and to this day, I won’t go near them. Honestly, they scare me!
Having just finished my Invisalign treatment a few months ago, I knew I needed a solution. So, I started searching online and came across my friend’s blog, OneStepForward, where he shared his experience getting teeth whitening in Bangkok. It felt like fate!
One morning, on a whim, I thought, “Let’s go back to Bangkok.” Before I knew it, I had booked my flight, setting the stage for my second trip to Thailand—full of unknown adventures. I was beyond excited!
As most of you know, Thailand is a hot spot for medical tourism, but please do your due diligence before choosing a place. Because rest assured that there are some pretty sketchy places in Thailand. My modo is…”if it’s too good to be true, run”.
So make sure you choose the best. So take this recommendation to heart, my friend!
Located right smack in the middle of Siam Square, (Central Bangkok). Getting to The smile Bar is easy as hopping on the BTS train down to the Siam stop.
Once you arrive, simply walk 5 minutes and you should see the building. For your reference I put the image of the place above.
After I arrived in Bangkok I booked my appointment for the next day. Once the big day arrived I jumped on the BTS train and not long after I arrived at The Smile Bar. (15min train ride from Asok BTS)
At first glance of the outside I was impressed. It looked like really modern clean building. So I walked up the stair to the main floor, and my jaw dropped. I was amazed at the sheer quality of the place.
As soon as I walked in I was welcomed by a very friendly Thai lady who signed me in and who quickly gave me orientation/consultation of my current teeth situation. To my surprise my teeth were not that bad she said! But in the end I choose the triple package because I wanted this to last!
Once the consultation is finished you’re given some mouth solution, a tooth brush and toothpaste in order to brush your teeth before the teeth whitening begins.
Once I was all prepped and ready to go, I sat down in this funky looking egg shell shaped chair. The staff then applied this Swedish teeth whitening gel on my teeth (which was tasteless) and 90 minutes later…I had brand new sexy white teeth to showcase to the world!
Each session is 20 minutes and you choose what you want to do, I chose to listen to a Podcast.
After the procedure I’m happy to say that I went from S22/24 to S12/16c (whatever that means)All in all i’m about 6 shades whiter! I’m so glad I stumbled on this place. The staff is great and the owner Julien is even nicer, I even surprised him with some french. If you’re looking for a cool franchise to own, please reach out to Julien, he’s is full expansion.
As mentioned earlier, I had only tried Crest White Strips in the past, so teeth whitening was all totally new to me.
Considering I did the triple package, it did cost me a little bit more, but nothing compared to back home…
It only cost me 234.93$ CAD (5799 Baht)…back home it would cost me 500$+
So when it comes to anything dental, go to Thailand! (a cleaning is 60$ CAD)
It was money well spent!
What can I say… teeth whitening in Thailand cost barely anything it’s a steal! But just to keep it real with you guys, you might need a few treatments depending on your situation. Especially if you’re a heavy smoker and coffee drinker. This is not a magical procedure that will turn your teeth instantly white, but it will for sure brighten your natural enamel up by 80% or more.
I’m officially hooked! Huge thanks to Smile Bar for the best teeth whitening in Bangkok. I’ll definitely be back! If you’re visiting Thailand, make sure to brighten your smile here.
Never travel without travel insurance!
As a digital nomad I always use SafetyWing, because it covers everything, and it's super affordable. The best part is that you can actually order the insurance if you already left for your trip. You can read my full review here
